Tellico Lake Rotary Club members are People of Action! We are your neighbors, friends, and problem-solvers who join with leaders to share ideas. Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change — across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

Our club members live in neighborhoods around Tellico Lake and together we have fun, build friendships, enjoy fellowship, and conduct business in an ethical fashion, while spreading goodwill in our communities here and around the world. In addition to funding our own charitable projects, we raise much needed funds for several other local charities that help people in need, primarily in Loudon and Monroe Counties, and we’ve been doing this since 2005.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is showing with his fingers just how close Rotary’s effort is to eradicating the Polio Virus from the face of the earth. With only a handful of new cases in Afghanistan, Pakistan and Somalia, the effort to vaccinate every child in these endemic areas continues. Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 30 years, and we’ve made incredible progress in the fight to rid the world of it forever. Rotarians through-out the world have raised over $1.3 billion to eradicate this terrible disease. As a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, we’ve helped to reduced polio cases by more than 99.9 percent. It’s crucial to eliminate polio from the last three countries where it remains endemic and to keep other countries polio-free. If all eradication efforts stopped today, within 10 years, polio could paralyze as many as 200,000 children each year.

When you are involved with Rotary, you are connected to 1.2 million members of more than 34,000 Rotary clubs in over 200 countries. Together we do great things like leading the world-wide effort to eradicate polio and other diseases.

Welcome Walkers & Hikers

Proceeds will be used by Our PLACE to support their daily programs. Since the focus has been on securing the funding to build Our PLACE’s new facility, this Walk to Remember will raise funds designated to equip the building for their program needs. These programs will require: Exercise Equipment, Audio-Visual, Sound System, personalized Music & Memory platforms, Therapy Games, etc.
